LIGHT THIS CITY posts another new track; Stormchaser out Nov. 11
Bay Area death thrashers LIGHT THIS CITY have posted another new song from
their swansong album, ‘Stormchaser,’ on the band’s MySpace page
(http://www.myspace.com/lightthiscity). “Beginning With Release” joins the
previously-posted track “Sand And Snow” as two online previews from the
12-track album which will see a November 11 release through longtime home
Prosthetic Records.
Forming in 2002, LIGHT THIS CITY released a self-financed full-length in
2003 while the members were busy pushing pencils in high school, before
signing with Prosthetic a year later and releasing ‘Remains of the Gods’ and
‘Facing The Thousand’ in 2005 and 2006, respectively, through Prosthetic.
Before the release of ‘Stormchaser,’ LIGHT THIS CITY spent several years on
the road alongside the likes of Death Angel, labelmates All That Remains,
the Death By Decibels tour with Vader and Malevolent Creation, HORSE the
band, Edguy, Into Eternity, The Funeral Pyre and Antagonist, among others.
‘Stormchaser’ features artwork from Kristian Wåhlin (At The Gates, Emperor,
Dissection) and guest vocal performances from Testament’s Chuck Billy and
The Funeral Pyre’s John Strachan. Longtime collaborator Zach Ohren (All
Shall Perish, Odious Mortem) again handled production duties for
‘Stormchaser,’ which is available with a limited edition t-shirt online here
(http://www.prostheticrecords.com/LTCsplash.html). Three in-studio updates
